Poker is a card game whose purpose is to win a pot of money by making bets. A hand with the highest number of cards wins the pot. There are various variations of poker. Generally, each player bets in a single round. The pot is the combined sum of all the bets made by all players.<\/p>\n
Before starting a game of poker, the dealer assigns values to each chip. Typically, a red chip is worth five whites and a blue chip is worth ten or twenty whites. In addition, each player is entitled to a kitty, a special fund that is allocated to each player.<\/p>\n
Poker is played by a minimum of 5-7 people and a maximum of nine. Normally, each player has the right to make the first bet. If a player does not want to make a bet, he can fold.<\/p>\n
Before the start of the game, each player must buy a certain amount of chips. Depending on the number of players, two or three separate games may be organized.<\/p>\n
After all the players have been dealt their cards, a betting interval occurs. During this interval, all but one player can fold.<\/p>\n
